How HPV BCR™ works
HPV is location-specific: it can be present in one spot and absent a few millimetres away. The method is built around finding every infected area.
Identify & map
Near-infrared light maps blood-vessel patterns so highly vascular HPV growths — even barely visible ones — are tagged.
Remove
Tagged growths are removed by minimally invasive microsurgery that respects the underlying vessels and anatomy.
Target the host layer
The skin cells that host HPV (basal cells) are treated, so the treated area does not usually see recurrence.
Dr. Siavash Arani, M.D.
Dr. Arani earned his M.D. in 1999, trained at Mayo Clinic Hospital and Maricopa Medical Center in Arizona, and served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He introduced the BCR microsurgical method in 2007, and HPV BCR™ is now a registered U.S. trademark.
